Suzuki Owners Club of North America (SOC) Hosts State-Wide Tennessee Roadway Safety Awareness Tour and "Motorcycle Giveaway"

Northwood, NH. - September 26, 2008 - Consumers are feeling the pinch this season as they fill up at local gas stations. With prices creeping near $4.00 a gallon, motorists are realizing the economic benefits of traveling on two wheels instead of four. According to the National Transportation Safety Board, more than 6 million motorcycles are registered throughout the United States, compared to about 4 million only ten years ago. "Have you ever seen what 150,000 motorcycles looks like? I have, says Stephen V. Anthony, Suzuki Owners Club or North America President and Founder, and I'm looking forward to it!! Our clubs goal is to have every motorcycle owner in the state of Tennessee visit one of the scheduled events in their city and to join us in Johnson City for what is sure to be a spectacular Motorcycle Rally!"

The Tennessee Tour "Cruising For Awareness", 76 cities in 76 days events will be held at participating Suzuki Brand Dealers and other Participating Locations starting March 2nd, 2009 at Suzuki of Memphis (www.patpattersonsuzuki.com) Automotive Dealership (formerly know as Pat Patterson Suzuki). Each daily event will start at 10 am and will end at 4 pm. Dates and Locations are posted on the SOC website (www.suzukiownersclub.org). Events are centered around automotive, motorcycle and power sports safety and awareness. The Tennessee Highway Patrol safety vehicle, the D.A.R.E. America vehicle, the SOC Club vehicle. At each event, the Motorcycle Giveaway Bikes will be on Display along with two vintage motorcycles, from the Wheels through Time Museum, will be on display. Attendees can stop by for information on the various aspects of safety and to make entry for the motorcycle giveaways.

In service to motorcycle enthusiasts and in conjunction with SOCs Motorcycle Safety Awareness Months of March, April, May and June, the SOC will host its first annual "Motorcycle Giveaway". One lucky grand giveaway entrant will receive a Brand New 2009 Suzuki c109rt Motorcycle and a Trip for Two to the Wheels through Time Motorcycle Museum! A second lucky grand giveaway entrant will receive a Brand New 2009 Suzuki c109rt Motorcycle! In addition to the two grand giveaways, another 50 entrants will be selected to receive one of 50 additional awesome items! The bikes were donated by Jim's Motorcycle Sales located in Johnson City, TN. "For the cycle riders looking to upgrade, add to or start their collection, the "Motorcycle Giveaway" is a fun way to celebrate Motorcycle Safety Awareness Months while saving dollars at the pump," adds Anthony. "It also brings to mind the importance of safe driving behind the handlebars of a motorcycle."

Consumers can stop by participating Suzuki Automotive, Motorcycle/Power Sports, Marine Dealerships or other locations in Tennessee to register for the drawings (while entry form supplies last). Entries will be accepted starting @ 10:00 am (CST) March 2nd, 2009 through June 5th, 2009 @ 5:00 pm (EST), with the drawing to be held on June 5th, 2009 at 6:00 pm (EST) at the Suzuki Owners Club of North America 2009 Southeastern Spring Rally to be held in Johnson City, TN, May 31st, 2009 to June 6th, 2009 at the Doubletree Hotel Johnson City. Not a grand prize winner? One additional lucky entrant will be selected to receive a Brand New 2009 Suzuki c109rt Motorcycle for the second place drawing. Still not a lucky winner? In concert with our Tennessee Tour "Cruising For Awareness", 76 cities in 76 days, the Suzuki Owners Clubs "Cruising For Change" fund raising program will be collecting donations, we're asking that whatever change you have in your pocket, while attending one of the scheduled events, to please drop it in the collection bucket! Funds collected will go to benefit organizations that provide support for those stricken with Lupus, the Wheels through Time Motorcycle Museum, the American Red Cross, Motorcycle Awareness Foundation of Tennessee, Bikers Against Child Abuse Tennessee Chapter and the Suzuki Owners Club of North America.
